spotify

so since 2011, i have relied on Spotify for my music.

Spotify is a program that allows you to listen to all the music humanly possible without having to pay for it online, with an included Pandora like radio, and seperate add-ons which give you lyrics and concert tickets, it is literally one of my best friends. Though Spotify is based on your Facebook profile, you can also make one with your email address and I highly recommend you do, with the new update Spotify has a fresh new look.

With my growing library of 1500 songs ranging from Little Mix to Abba to Hannah Montana and way more, I was THRILLED that Spotify had an app and now I could listen to music when I wasn't at home-----but I learned that I could only listen on shuffle and had about 9 skips an hour, which is definitely not enough for me, but I'll manage.

banana nutella bread

so the other day my mom was making banana nut bread and it was getting kinda old-fashioned ( but i still love it nontheless) and I looked up interesting twists in making it and I found one that was the bomb.net ( sorry) but unfrtunately the nutella ran out -_-
but ill share the recipe
Banana Nutella Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cups (10 ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting pan
  • ¼ cup slivered almonds (you can add up to ½ cup for added texture)
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup + ⅛ cup Nutella (heated for about 30 seconds in the microwave to make it more spreadable)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 very ripe, soft, darkly-speckled bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 2 large eggs, beaten lightly
  • 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350ยบ F. Grease 4 mini loaf pans or a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.
  2. Whisk all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Mix the mashed bananas, yogurt, eggs, butter and vanilla with a wooden spoon in another bowl. Lightly fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture with a rubber spatula until just combined and the batter looks thick and chunky. Stir in the almonds.
  4. Measure out the Nutella in a small bowl and heat in the microwave for 30-35 seconds, just until it’s softened and stir together until it’s the texture of frosting. Stir the Nutella into the batter being careful not to completely incorporate the two together. You want a swirled pattern here.
  5. Transfer batter into the greased and dusted loaf pan(s).
  6. Bake until the loaf is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. It will take 25-30 minutes if you use mini loaf pans like I did or 50-55 minutes for a regular one. Cool in the pan for five minutes then transfer to a wire rack. This is great at room temperature or even straight out of the refrigerator.

little mix

ok i know cohelly already posted about this but you guys this is literally one of the best albums i've ever heard.

little mix won the x-factor that had one direction on it and this is their second album with songs that already beat the popularity of the Spice Girls

their new album is called SALUTE and i have never fangirled this hard about a band ever like this

their album has 12 songs with additional tracks and this really cool french one

my favorite songs are probably all of them because THEY ARE SO GOOD

the group has four girls, Perrie, Jade, Le-Anne, and Jessie
Perrie is getting married to Zayn from One Direction if you didnt know..
Jade is my personal fave because omg she sings so perfectly

red velvito cupcakes

ok so i havent been posting much food and i kinda wanted to be a food blog so heres a recipe for red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, which in my opinion is one of the best non-chocolate desserts ever made ever.

i would've made it myself but my mom said that we werent gonna buy any of the ingredients sooo ill jusst post the recipe and googled cupcake photos ;)

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
2 large eggs, room temperature
2 tablespoons red food coloring
1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 pound cream cheese, softened
2 sticks butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 (12-cup) muffin pans with cupcake papers.

In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In a large bowl gently beat together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla with a handheld electric mixer. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet and mix until smooth and thoroughly combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake tins about 2/3 filled. Bake in oven for about 20 to 22 minutes, turning the pans once, half way through. Test the cupcakes with a toothpick for doneness. Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla together until smooth. Add the sugar and on low speed, beat until incorporated. Increase the speed to high and mix until very light and fluffy.
